Occupy Wall Street vs TEA Party
Demonstrations
Let's just compare the "occupy Wall
Street" demonstrations to the Tea Party.
TEA (taxed enough already) Party
- Grassroots Movement
- Clear message of conservative
fiscal and constitutional reform
- Non-violent lawful protests
- Demographically diverse including
middle class working taxpaying Americans
- Actually organized and backed
candidates to effect change
- Criticized by the liberal media
and politicians as being racist and irrelavent
Occupy Wall Street (not sure what that stands for)
- Backed and organized by Moveon.org and reports of paid protestors
- No message or confused message
(mostly just mad at capitalism)
- 700 arrested for blocking the
Brooklyn Bridge and pepper sprayed for storming a building (private
property)
- Mostly non-taxpaying college grads
or rent-a-mob union workers
- Have no solutions and offer no
viable leadership for their cause (whatever that is)
- Praised by Pelosi as a valid
grassroots movement
The mob protesting in NYC and DC
resembles just that a mob. They have no message, they have no
discussions of what may be bothering them, they just want to disrupt
lawful people trying to make a living. I heard an interview with one
protestor that was pissed about having to pay back his taxpayer
funded student loan. Another complained about the bonus that
corporate CEO's get (by working hard and meeting the goals of their
shareholders, creating jobs, and helping many pay back their student
loans). But over all it seems like a bunch of unemployed 20
somethings hanging out hoping someone with a bullhorn will tell them
what to chant.
I would bet money that in the upper 90%
range of these miscreants pay no taxes, live off Mom and Dad, and are
not part of the American workforce that depends on Wall Street for
their 401k retirement plans. Maybe these folks should get in the game
before they bitch about what sucks about the country. What most are
asking for is the Euro style socialist system. Look how that turned
out. The things they say are very similar to the chants from across
the pond earlier this year. Spoiled brats wanting to take from the
tax payers of our country and contribute nothing themselves. Smoke
another joint and crawl back into your parents house and leave the
protesting to people who actually work and pay taxes.....
The president insists that tax increases (new revenue) and keeping the good faith and credit (raising the debt limit) and spending (reinvesting) is the way out of this mess that GW (the Democrat led congress) created. Obama speak 101.
